The Menaj Men’s ClearShave 3-in-1 Formula is a clear shaving gel that can be used for regular face and body shaving or for more creative uses like sculpting moustaches, beards and sideburns. The botanical-based shaving gel can be used without water, allow for a quick, easy and clean shaving experience.
SUMMARY OF PERFORMANCE
The Menaji ClearShave gel comes in a convenient pump pack which makes application easy, allowing you to apply the shaving gel section by section and add more when needed. It has a moisturising and cooling effect which leaves your skin feeling great after a shave. I just used it with standard cheap 3 blade gel razors from the supermarket for a super quick and clean shave.
For years, I’ve always preferred using an electric shaver like the Phillips Multigroom Series 7000 beard trimmer because it felt so much easier faster than shaving. The beard trimmer allowed me to shave just above the skin to prevent ingrown hairs from forming, and since I have blonde facial hair it wasn’t visible as just stubble, which naturally made me think why bother with the tiresome routine of shaving with a razor. However, the Menaji ClearShave gel made shaving which a razor almost as quick and easy as using the beard trimmer, it was easy to apply for a quick, clean shave, and had the added benefit of allowing me to longer between shaves. And for the first time in my adult life shaving didn’t cause me to get ingrown hairs.
PRICE RANGE
Premium Range $$$
Priced at $12 USD + shipping the Manaji Men’s ClearShave gel is a bit pricey. It only comes in a 30ml pump bottle, which doesn’t seem like a lot, but the gel spreads very easily across the skin so you only need a small amount.
I only use it once a week, so it lasts me a while, however, I can imagine you’re using it every day then it would need to buy more quite regularly. Good news on that front though, if you like it and need more of it, Menaji have a standing deal where you can get 3 for the price of 2 (buy 2 get 1 free).

I only tested the shaving gel on shave facial hair, so I can’t really comment how it is on other parts of the body, but I imagine it would work just as well.
EASE OF USE
As far as shaving with a razor goes, I found it very easy and convenient to use as my shaving gel.
The ClearShave formula has a refreshing aftershave cooling sensation, so possibly, since it says “No Water Needed” you may not even need to wash it off after shaving. Personally, I did rinse my face anyway though because I wasn’t sure and that’s just what I’m used to doing after shaving so that my skin stays clean and doesn’t get ingrown hairs.
AMOUNT OF PRODUCT USED PER APPLICATION
A small amount. The ClearShave formula spreads quite well across the skin, and from my experience, you only need a thin layer for good results, so you don’t need to use a lot per application.

SCENT
It has a fresh fragrance, likely from the mix of essential oils used in the formula. To be honest, it’s quite subtle so I never really noticed it.

WOULD I BUY AGAIN?
Maybe, if it became more available in Europe. Currently, it’s not very available for me to get, because international shipping is quite high. For now, I’m still just happy using my Phillips Multigroom Series 7000 beard trimmer most of the time and saving the clean shave for special occasions.
